What We Do
Septic Systems
On site Septic Treatment Systems are a big investment. The main purpose of a sewer system is to treat wastewater so it can be recycled and reused again. You also want this investment to last as long as possible. The MN Pollution Control Agency has implemented strict guidelines in order to achieve these goals based on science and research. We are an MPCA licensed, bonded, and insured septic system installer. License #861. Our certification and licensing requires continuing education and quality workmanship in order to be able to continue doing business in this specialty. Our quality workmanship starts with quality materials and a strong focus on attention to detail in the labor process.
Basements & Footings
We excavate for everything from residential basements to additions or garage additions, detached garages, floating slabs, and footings for commercial buildings. We strive to dig wide enough for your foundation crews to work safely and efficiently. We have the ability to rip frost for winter digs. When all of your foundation work is complete we will then backfill the foundation and do any other work necessary. This might include hauling in fill or hauling our excess fill not needed on site. We will compact any fill soils as necessary. It also may include hauling in and placing rock in your basement under you concrete slab for the purpose of radon mitigation, as required by the building code in the state of Minnesota. We also will place draintile rock and fabric around the interior or exterior of your footings if required. In addition, many cities require some type of construction entrance for erosion control during the construction process so we will haul in and place whatever material necessary to meet this requirement. This includes everything from small city lots to open acreage lots or even inside of sheds or commercial buildings.
Sewer & Hook Ups
We connect your building to city sewer and water services. We will also hook up your building to your neighborhoods community septic system or pressurized sewer line. On occasion this work will include hooking up to main line services when there is not a service line located on your lot. In addition, we dig in well water lines or water lines for a hydrant in your yard. On occasion it may be more efficient to do this through underground boring resulting in less disturbance to the yard or driveway and a possible cost savings. We ensure that your water lines are deep enough in the ground to prevent freezing in the winter, and may need to use insulated pipe or cover the pipe with insulation when a shallow line is necessary. Before backfill, we will properly bed the pipe with good material to help prevent the pipe from settling or any other issues. Again, we use high quality materials in everything we do with the intent of giving you the best possible result.
Demolition
Whether your project is a small old garage or a large old house, we can demo it properly for you. We work with our sub-contractors to ensure the materials are disposed of properly and brought to the correct landfill. If you bought an old house and want it torn down to build new or you just want an old building gone we can complete this for you. This may include bringing in fill to cover the hole left in the ground and grading out when complete or preparing your site for you new foundation.
Driveways
Whatever the distance, we can build your driveway or freshen it up with a re-grade or additional base imported and spread. Construction driveways or entrances and even just a new approach can also be done. This process may include stripping off the overburden, pulling in or hauling in a good sub-base material, hauling in and placing road base, compacting as necessary, and building the shoulders back up. We will construct everything to include proper drainage. We also will install culverts and aprons when required.
Site Work
We do anything needed to improve your site or prepare for construction. This includes soil corrections, land clearing, stump removal, and brush mowing. We will also prepare your building pad for your pole shed, barn, or horse barn, or riding arena. We can reshape your lot to allow for a walkout basement or dig a swale or holding pond for drainage. We will construct your storm water control according to plan including installing storm sewer structures and pipe. Whatever you need to improve your site, we can get it done for you!
Grading
We will grade your yard according to what you want and what works best for your site. Proper drainage is very important to keep water away from structures. Black dirt can be hauled in and graded out upon your request.
